KDT Spinal Decompression Therapy
Non-surgical relief for herniated discs, sciatica, and chronic neck and back pain — using the Kennedy Decompression Technique, one of the most widely taught decompression protocols in the country.
For 25 years, KDT Spinal Decompression Systems & Technique has led the way in developing, testing, and teaching a proven spinal decompression traction technique. Designed to be both highly effective and easy to learn, this method has empowered more than 7,500 chiropractors and physical therapists across the United States, Canada, and beyond since 2001.

What Makes KDT Different
Spinal decompression is only as good as the doctor's technique. KDT — the Kennedy Decompression Technique — was developed by Dr. Jay Kennedy and has been taught to thousands of chiropractors and physical therapists across the U.S. and Canada for more than two decades. Rather than relying on the machine alone, KDT trains the doctor to position the spine precisely, target the specific disc level and the direction of the injury, and adjust the pull angle and force for each patient. That protocol is what Dr. Graybar and our team bring to every session.
Precision positioning
Prone or supine setups chosen for your specific disc level and symptom pattern.
Computer-controlled traction
Gentle, cycling pull-and-release that the body doesn't guard against.
Combined care plan
Decompression paired with Chiropractic BioPhysics correction, MLS laser, and rehab for lasting results.

Conditions That Respond to KDT Decompression
Not sure if decompression is right for you? Your first visit includes a full exam and imaging review so we can tell you honestly whether KDT is a fit.

How KDT Decompression Works
Gentle, targeted stretch.
You're comfortably secured on the KDT Neural-Flex table. The system applies a slow, computer-controlled pull to the spine at a precise angle, then eases off, in repeating cycles. Because the pull is gradual, the surrounding muscles relax instead of tightening against it.

Pressure comes off the disc.
The cycling creates a negative pressure inside the disc, which can help draw bulging material back toward center and take pressure off the nerve that's been causing pain, numbness, or weakness.

The disc gets what it needs to heal.
Discs have poor blood supply. The pumping action helps move water, oxygen, and nutrients into the disc, supporting repair between sessions.

Your KDT Care Plan
Evaluation
Consultation, exam, and imaging review. We identify the disc level, direction of injury, and whether decompression is appropriate.
Active decompression
Sessions are typically scheduled several times per week at first, then tapered as symptoms stabilize. Many patients pair decompression with MLS laser therapy in the same visit.
Stabilize and protect
Corrective exercises, posture work, and periodic follow-ups so the results hold.

Doctors on the KDT Seminar
Wow!! What a GREAT experience!
I am new to spinal decompression, but I have 22 years of chiropractic experience. I have attended many conferences and seminars over the years, and I have to say that this was the BEST ONE EVER!
The instructors are super informative and explain everything in detail. They not only know the equipment, but they are actively involved with development and building it so they REALLY know how it works and how to get the best results. Patient results are what matter most!
The small group setting, and amount of hands-on technique instruction really made a difference. In addition to feeling confident in my new spinal decompression skills by the end of the weekend, I also felt confident in my decision to incorporate the KDT Class IV laser and MyAct Piezo shockwave therapy into my practice care plans.
Our office has been using these new treatments and modalities for three months now, and the patients are super excited. The synergistic results that come with the combination of these techniques and advanced modalities has taken my practice to a new level.
Looking forward to meeting you at the next KDT spinal decompression seminar!
