Dr. Kevin Johnson is happy to be back home. A native of Wilmington, Dr. Johnson graduated from Laney High School in 1993 and matriculated to East Carolina University, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science while lettering in varsity soccer. While playing soccer, he was a Scholar Athlete.Once he graduated from college, Dr Johnson knew he wanted to be in a career that enabled him to help people. He was encouraged to attend chiropractic school by his stepfather, long time successful Wilmington chiropractor, Dr. Robert Van Note. Being raised in a chiropractic household since the age of 10, Dr. Johnson was a natural fit for the profession having personally experienced the benefits of
chiropractic from a young age.
Dr. Johnson attended the Life University School of Chiropractic and graduated with honors from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC in 2004. While in chiropractic school, he was involved with numerous adjusting technique clubs such as Chiropractic Biophysics, Thompson technique club, Diversified Full Spine, Activator Club, the Pediatric, and the Extremity adjusting club. This allowed him to further his knowledge of treating patients in the clinical setting.
His chiropractic interest lies in Posture correction and spinal remodeling with Chiropractic Biophysics, treating sports injuries, children, pregnant women, auto accidents, geriatrics and people that want to improve their overall peak performance. He has a general certification in Chiropractic Biophysics, treatment of Workers Compensation by the North Carolina Chiropractic Association and has attended numerous continuing education classes in Chiropractic Biophysics spinal remodeling, sports injuries, courses in MRI and radiology of the Cervical and Lumbar spine, as well as auto accident injuries from the renowned Spinal Research Institute of San Diego by Dr. Arthur Croft.
After many years of practicing his mission is simple: To help people lead more active and healthy lives no matter what season of life you may be in at this time. “My goal is help improve your quality of life!” Dr. Johnson has been married to his wife Heather for many years and they have two children, Morgan and Brady. We enjoy traveling together and have enjoyed going to many live concerts. Dr. Johnson is still lacing up his soccer boots and plays in the Wilmington Adult soccer league. He is an avid surfer and enjoys being outside. He would like everyone to know that he is very excited with the opportunity to be able to serve the patients and their families from the surrounding Wilmington area.
