How do you know if you are injured?

Typically, you will not know; Symptoms of WHIPLASH may be delayed for up to 3 days (72 hrs.) or more after the initial trauma. Clinical studies also have found that as little as 6-8mph impact can be sufficient to produce whiplash injuries in some cases.

Common Types of Car Accident Injuries

Whiplash: A neck injury due to rapid back-and-forth movement of the head, often resulting in neck pain, stiffness, and headaches.

Concussions: Head injuries caused by a blow or jolt to the head, leading to symptoms such as headaches, confusion, dizziness, and in severe cases, loss of consciousness and cognitive impairments.

Fractures: Broken bones, commonly in the arms, legs, ribs, and collarbone, due to the force of the impact. (Our team of trained physicians will always relay on our in-house x-rays and will refer out for immediate orthopedic evaluations if there is any fractures noted.)

Soft Tissue Injuries: Injuries to muscles, ligaments, and tendons, including strains, sprains, and contusions, resulting in pain, swelling, and reduced mobility.

Chest Injuries: Injuries to the chest area, including broken ribs and damage to internal organs, often caused by the impact with the steering wheel or seatbelt.

Cuts and Lacerations: Wounds caused by broken glass, metal, or other debris, which may require stitches or other medical treatment to prevent infection. Referral are always provided to ensure your success in responding from your injuries.
